COVID-19: Business Statement - Updated 12th May 2020

After carefully considering the roadmap published by the UK Government to ease the country out of lockdown, Burgoynes has decided not to reopen our offices at this time and our staff will continue to work safely from home. Our offices will only open when it is safe to do so and that decision will be based on advice from the UK Government and our own risk assessments. In the meantime, our IT infrastructure enables all staff and fee earners to be contacted in the normal way, by mobile telephone, by landline connections, and by email, allowing us to provide the same level of service to our clients.

Burgoynes investigators remain ready to support our clients by visiting sites in full compliance with the government requirements and following our own rigorous safety precautions, to ensure that essential evidence is not lost and to enable claims to be moved forward. We have in place strict social distancing protocols and risk assessment procedures to safeguard the health of our staff, our clients, their policyholders and all others that we may meet during the course of our investigations.

Burgoynes has made the conscious decision to continue to operate with an over capacity of staff to ensure that we can react promptly to instructions. This also means that we are fully prepared for the further easing of, and eventual exit from, lockdown.
