The AICLA Asian Claims Convention 2024 (ACC24) was held earlier this month in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The convention spanned three days and hosted more than 200 delegates from across the Asia Pacific region, with representatives including loss adjusters and insurance claims managers. Burgoynes were proud to be a Gold Sponsor of the event and in attendance were Dr Jon Sykes, a Partner in our Singapore office (pictured above - right), and Jason Sanderson, an Associate in our Perth, Australia office (pictured above - left).
The theme for the convention was ‘Technologies Driving Globalisation in Claims’. Discussions centred on the different technologies which have had an impact on insurance claims as well as emerging technologies which might change the way insurance claims are processed in the future. Jason Sanderson gave a highly topical presentation on ‘Risks in Renewable Energy’. It was also very interesting to hear from Timothy Wong (McLarens), Viknesh Sheekar (Sedgwick) and Maurene Ayu (PT Global Intenusa) during a panel discussion on ‘The Future Direction of Loss Adjusting’ and from Mark Peters and Captain Siva Divakaran (Chubb Insurance) who discussed issues in Marine Insurance.
The event was a fantastic opportunity to network with claims professionals and share insights from across the region. Thank you to AICLA for the great event, we hope to see everyone next year at ACC25.
