Recently the Partners and employees at Burgoynes enjoyed the return of a weekend away at Royal Leamington Spa for Burgoynes Octoberfest, following a break since 2018.
The day started with a few running enthusiasts at Burgoynes, who took part in the Leamington Spa Parkrun on a lovely fresh and bright Saturday morning. The seven Burgoynes runners were (from left to right) Mike Hayden, Phil Mitchell, Graeme Campbell, Darren Green, Tom Woodhall, Iain Kerr, and Ian Melvin. Darren and Mike managed to achieve their event personal best! Phil, Ian and Iain were first timers, not just to the Leamington Parkrun but to Parkrun as a whole, so their sub 20:45 times were mightily impressive.
The Octoberfest weekend is a great opportunity for staff from all Burgoynes offices to meet and catch up in person, as well as introducing new starters to the company. The event is also an internal training day for the investigators and support staff, making sure that everyone is up to date on current best practices. Staff members from Basingstoke, Cardiff, Dubai, Glasgow, Ilkley, London, Kenilworth, Manchester and Stevenage were all in attendance, taking part in seminars and presentations throughout the day.
Afterwards, it was time to enjoy a delicious dinner and a few drinks to celebrate a successful day. There was a charity raffle at the event and £364 was raised for Burgoynes' current nominated charity, Tiny Toes.
