Burgoynes is pleased to announce that on 1 July 2021, Natalie Gould (above left), Tom Woodhall (above centre) and Ron Knak (above right) were promoted to Partner. Natalie and Tom, based in our London and Cardiff offices respectively, are both chemists and are experienced fire and explosion investigators. Both are also members of our contamination assessment team. Ron, based in Glasgow, is a mechanical engineer who investigates fires, explosions, mechanical failures and personal injuries. All three investigators continue to provide expert opinion to loss adjusters, lawyers and insurers.
Nick Coogan (above) has been promoted to Resident Director of our Dubai office. Nick has been undertaking forensic investigations in Dubai since 2019 and will continue to develop our Middle East operations.
On the same day, Richard Sutcliffe (above left) and Keith Benjamin (above right) retired from the Partnership.
Richard joined Burgoynes in 1981 and over the last forty years has investigated numerous incidents on land and at sea. Richard developed particular experience advising on incidents involving coal. In addition, Richard contributed many years to the management of the Partnership, both in Personnel and as Chairman.
Keith joined Burgoynes in 1997, after 16 years with the Forensic Science Service. Keith investigated incidents worldwide and has particular expertise in fires involving oil-firing equipment and thatched buildings. Keith also helped to develop the business during his time as the Marketing Partner.
With many years of investigation experience between them, Richard and Keith will be missed from the Partnership, but both will remain as Consultants in their local offices. We wish them both a long and happy retirement.
