On Friday 22 January 2021, Mark Cousins of the Melbourne office attended the Victoria 2020 Awards night for the ‘Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters’ (AICLA).  The event was held at the superb Crown Hotel in Melbourne.  Despite the current restrictions and the event being postponed for around 6 weeks and rearranged at short notice, it was well attended with all 400 tickets having sold out quickly. 

Guests were served with a splendid three-course meal and were entertained between courses by a lively Catriona Rowntree (the presenter of Nine Network’s ‘Getaway’ program) and entertainers Sarah Stone and Joey Cirillo.  

The awards were presented by the Deputy President of AICLA, Narelle Handley, who did an outstanding job.  Burgoynes would like to extend their congratulations to all the award nominees and winners including: 

• Loss Adjusting Support Person of the Year - Katarina Vatavuk of Sedgwick,

• Bob Richards Educational Award - Leigh Harrington of Crawford & Company, 

• Young Loss Adjuster of the Year - Tom Gibbs of Crawford & Company, and   

• Loss Adjuster of the Year - John van Wetering of Crawford & Company.
