During April, Dr Ian Wallis-Guy, a Partner in our Basingstoke Office, provided presentations on Appliance Fires to the Insurance Institute of Guildford and the Insurance Institute of Chelmsford and South Essex.  The presentations covered current trends in fires involving domestic ‘white goods’ and explored some of the associated causes.  Ian also discussed the recent developments in the design of household appliances and how this might prevent or cause fires in the future.

The presentations provided an opportunity for Chartered Insurance Institute members to learn about fire investigation, obtain CPD points and to network with fellow members over lunch.
