Experience:

Since completing a degree in Applied Chemistry and a PhD in High Temperature Tribology, Simon has investigated, analysed and provided advice on a wide range of material, metallurgical and corrosion failures. These failures have included incidents and projects relating to corrosion, power generation, and industrial furnaces.

In his previous role, Simon was a laboratory based metallurgist and was responsible for the investigation of failed components, together with using his expertise to advise and assist with routine metallurgical testing.

Simon joined Burgoynes in December 2016. He specialises in the investigation of fires and explosions, and assists with the investigation of material, metallurgical and corrosion failures.
