Experience:

After graduating from the University of Manchester in 2016, Nick spent five years at Ove Arup and Partners, where he designed and managed a diverse range of electrical building services design projects, including commercial, retail, and technical laboratory design and prominent heritage building refurbishment projects. In the course of these projects, Nick supervised and commissioned electrical installations on-site and supervised contractor work.

Since moving into the forensic investigation industry in 2021, firstly with another firm and since 2023 with Burgoynes, Nick has investigated over 200 fires, explosions, and engineering incidents. His role has encompassed diverse areas, from providing design commentary on electrical and fire detection installations to conducting investigations on personal injuries and equipment failure involving electronic fault finding.
