Experience:

Emma received her PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Sheffield Hallam University, where she published her research in peer-reviewed journals and supervised undergraduate projects. An expert in mass spectrometry, Emma's proficiency spans traditional GC and LC-MS/MS analysis, imaging mass spectrometry, and high-resolution ToF.

From 2019 to 2023, she authored technical reports on drug and alcohol misuse for use in family courts, while leading a team of reporting scientists.

Emma has presented her research findings at national and international conferences, including the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) and the International Academy of Legal Medicine.

In 2023, Emma joined Burgoynes, specialising in the investigation of fires and explosions. Her work includes examining incidents at industrial, commercial, and domestic premises.
