Experience:
Darryl graduated from the University of Southampton in 2015, with a Master’s Degree in Advanced Mechanical Engineering Science, specialising in Propulsion and Engine Systems Engineering. Following his graduation, Darryl spent the next nine years in the field of condition assessment and forensic engineering. Darryl was involved with on-site inspections/assessments, service life extension of components, hands-on laboratory work and produced professional reports for various industries such as aerospace, oil and gas, marine, defence and construction. Over the nine years, Darryl was exposed to a range of both non-destructive and destructive examination techniques and garnered valuable experience in mechanical, metallurgical and corrosion related failures.
Darryl joined Burgoynes in 2024, specialising in mechanical and materials failures. His investigations have included engineering component failures, glass fractures, corrosion and polymer degradation.
