Experience:
Chris studied Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College, London, graduating in 1986. He then worked in the construction industry, specialising in mechanical plant design and installation in oil refineries and chemical manufacturing facilities. He relocated to Hong Kong in 1990 and worked for Mobil Oil in a bulk fuel storage and handling facility. He attained Chartered status with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in 1991. On returning to the UK, Chris worked in the renewable energy sector, gaining extensive technical and commercial experience in both wind and solar power.
In 2014 Chris completed a Masters degree in Forensic Engineering and Science at Cranfield University and joined Burgoynes. Since then he has investigated escapes of water and oil, failures of hydraulic systems, drainage systems, mechanical equipment and manufactured goods. He has also investigated personal injuries involving consumer goods, mechanical equipment and personal protective equipment.
