Experience:
Bob joined Burgoynes as an Associate in 1984 and became a Partner in 1990.
He has conducted over 1200 investigations of fires, explosions and chemical incidents, both in the UK and overseas. His more high profile UK cases include the fires at Uppark House (1989), Windsor Castle (1992), J. Sainsbury, Chichester (1993), Albright & Wilson, Avonmouth (1996), Tangley House (2000), Esporta Riverside Club, Chiswick (2006) and Crossfield (2009). More recently, Bob has investigated the fires at Chemie-Pack in the Netherlands (2011), Green Island, Dorset (2012) and the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona (2012). The marine cases have covered a wide range of ships, and incidents involving engine room, accommodation and cargo fires. These have included the PEGASUS (1991), the SALLY STAR (1994) and the EURASIAN DREAM (1998). Bob has experience in health and safety aspects of chemical hazards, chemical contamination and carbon monoxide poisoning incidents.
These investigations have led Bob to act as an expert witness on many occasions in connection with litigation in the UK and overseas.
