On 18 July 2019, Mark Slater, a Partner at our Basingstoke office, presented an electrical workshop to claims handlers and underwriters at the Stratford upon Avon offices of the NFU Mutual Insurance Society.

Mark provided an overview of a domestic electrical installation, explaining the functions of the different items of equipment and discussing how faults leading to fires can arise.  Mark also presented his ‘black museum’ of exhibits - a collection of electrical items and appliance components that have either caused fires or were near misses.  The workshop ended with a Q&A session.
