On Friday 11 October 2019, Dr Ian Wallis-Guy, a Partner in our Basingstoke office, gave a presentation on appliance fires at London Fire Brigade’s White Goods Day 2019.  Ian focussed on fires originating at washing machines and dishwashers, illustrating the talk with photographs from case studies looking at various mechanisms of failure.  Other presentations during the day were provided by the Office of Product Safety & Standards, Bureau Veritas, LFB’s Fire Investigation Team and Electrical Safety First.  The CPD accredited event was well attended by Fire Service personnel from around the country and others from commercial and public organisations involved in the investigation of fires and safety matters involving white goods.  Louise Russell and Ian Griffiths, both based in our London Office, attended the event and welcomed delegates at our marketing stand during break-out sessions.
